Congressman Brad Wenstrup Visits GTC
On October 28, 2014, Ohio Second District Congressman Brad Wenstrup, along with Washington and Cincinnati Staff members came to visit General Tool Company. The purpose of the 2 hour stop was to see our factory, meet our workforce, and to see the defense hardware that the company produces. On display were parts and assemblies for an aircraft carrier EMALS launch system, Aegis Radar components, Navy Torpedoes, and Ammunition Pallet Hoists, along with a variety of aerospace, oil & gas, and power generation products that the company manufactures.
CEO Bill Kramer hosted the tour and, after a briefing to provide an overview of our 3rd generation company, there was a discussion regarding funding for these programs during the Defense budget cuts. The Congressman spoke to the employees about national prorities, especially veterans affairs.
