GTC Wins Outstanding Supplier Award

On April 27, 2016, General Tool Company (GTC) President William Kramer III and Business Development Manager Paul Randall attended Lockheed Martin Corporation’s Annual Supplier Awards in Orlando, Florida, where GTC was honored with the Outstanding Small Business Award of 2015.

The award recognized GTC’s contributions to the Tidal Turbine Project, a renewable energy initiative designed to harness the powerful tides of the Firth of Clyde in Scotland to generate electricity for the United Kingdom. The turbine operates similarly to a giant underwater wind turbine, requiring precision engineering and high-quality manufacturing to meet stringent performance and reliability standards.

This recognition underscores GTC’s ability to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions for complex engineering programs while supporting sustainability and renewable energy initiatives.
