General Tool Company Joins Aeron Defense, Expands Manufacturing Capabilities
February 4 2026, by Amanda Coffman
We are pleased to announce that General Tool Company has been acquired by Aeron Defense, a U.S. based organization dedicated to strengthening the nation’s manufacturing and defense industrial base.
As part of this strategic alignment, General Tool Company will also merge with longtime sister company Magna Machine, bringing both organizations together under the General Tool Company brand. This integration reflects a shared history, complimentary capabilities, and a unified vision for the future of defense manufacturing.
Together, these developments significantly expand our manufacturing capacity, technical capabilities, and workforce development initiatives. By aligning resources, talent, and infrastructure, the organization is better positioned to support complex, mission-critical programs while continuing to serve customers with the same reliability and precision they have come to expect.
For nearly 80 years, our foundation of precision, reliability, and trust has remained constant. This evolution strengthens that legacy with deeper resources and technical reach, ensuring GTC is positioned to meet the defense industry’s growing demand for quality and speed.
“This alignment strengthens our ability to support defense programs today and into the future,” noted Bill Kramer, GTC President. “By joining Aeron Defense and integrating with Magna Machine, we are expanding our capabilities while preserving the values and standards that define our work.”
Our organization remains committed to operational excellence, workforce continuity, and our role as a trusted manufacturing partner within the local community and across the defense industry.
