The General Tool Company Begins New Facility in Evendale
August 9 2023, by Pete Borden
The Village of Evendale has sold more than 6.4 acres within its AeroHub commercial campus to The General Tool Company (GTC) for the development of a new 56,000-square-foot advanced manufacturing facility.
The project represents a significant expansion for GTC and reinforces the Village of Evendale’s commitment to supporting advanced manufacturing and aerospace-related development.
“We are delighted to have GTC grow and expand in our Village,” said Evendale Mayor Richard Finan. “GTC has a solid, long-standing reputation with more than 75 years of experience in high-performance machining, fabrication, and assembly for major defense and aerospace clients, among others.”
GTC President Bill Kramer III highlighted the strategic importance of the expansion. “I’m excited to begin this next phase of growth in Evendale,” said Kramer. “GTC takes great pride in manufacturing products that protect our country. While our headquarters will remain in the City of Reading, we had an immediate need for additional space to support our company purpose and continued growth. Evendale provided the ideal pad-ready site within the AeroHub campus.”
Construction of the new facility is scheduled to break ground at the end of July, with operations expected to begin by June 2024. The facility will support GTC’s continued growth in precision machining, fabrication, and assembly for defense, aerospace, and other mission-critical industries.
