General Tool Company Supports U.S. Navy League and USS Cincinnati Community Celebration
When the local U.S. Navy League sought support to raise awareness of the newly commissioned USS Cincinnati, General Tool Company (GTC) was a natural partner.
As a trusted supplier to the U.S. Navy for more than 30 years, General Tool Company of Reading proudly contributed to the effort by rapidly designing and building a replica float of the USS Cincinnati for the 100th Findlay Market Opening Day Parade. The float served as a centerpiece of the celebration, honoring the ship, its mission, and the sailors who serve aboard her.
The USS Cincinnati’s commanding officer and other naval officers rode on the float and were recognized as guests of honor by the City of Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Reds, underscoring the strong connection between the Navy, local industry, and the broader community.
GTC’s involvement reflects the company’s long-standing commitment to supporting the U.S. Navy, honoring service members, and strengthening ties between defense manufacturing and the communities it serves.
