Reading, OH: General Electric Aircraft Engine (GEAE) and General Tool Company (GTC) recently celebrated another first in their 70 year relationship: the completion of the test hardware for the new revolutionary engine, the GE9X. At GTC, project managers Rolf Carsjens and Amy Balcom, along with engineers Bob McCarter, Tim Brown, Kyle Hughes, Jim Cannon and Justin Speight lead the efforts to complete the complex assembly in record time to meet the GE timeline. The system was handed over to GE’s Program Managers David Campbell and Jim Hesketh and loaded for shipment. The teams celebrated their close collaboration and success; and also toasted the GE9X,”the world’s next great engine.”
